Sam Maggs, fangirl of the universe, highly-accomplished author, and all around awesome person, spoke with me at the 2018 Edmonton Expo about her new book: Girl Squads. It’s published by Quirk Books, is illustrated by Jenn Woodall, and comes out Tuesday October 2. In our interview, Sam gives us the rundown on Girl Squads, which not just educates, but celebrates 20 female friendships throughout history, and who all changed history for the better. This is one book that I’ve added to my list, and I highly recommend you add it to your list as well. Sam is also a best-selling author of Fangirl’s Guide to the Galaxy, and Wonder Women, and has fantastic written work in comics and the gaming industry.
