The creative team of Kyle Simmers (illustrator) and Ryan Danny Owen (writer) just launched Pass Me By: Gone Fishin’, their first book (in a series of five) in April 2019 at Shelf Life Books and are already almost sold out. And it’s no wonder because this first book was produced as riseograph, rather than being digitally printed. This book looks fantastic. The story itself follows the character of Ed, who suffers from early onset dementia, and his journey exploring role masculinity, gender, sexuality and queer identity. Listen to the full interview, as Simmers and Owen talk about where the story came from and what’s to come when their partnership with Renegade Arts Entertainment starts later this year.
