George Michail: Knight Terror Movie & Graphic Novel Writer/Director

Canadian comic book writer, and KNIGHT TERROR film director/co-writer George Michail and I chatted ahead of this week’s Calgary Expo (April 23 - 26) about his new graphic novel, KNIGHT TERROR (published by Renegade Arts Entertainment), as well as the new film—KNIGHT TERROR—by the same name, which he also co-wrote and directed. Michail describes the story of KNIGHT TERROR as:
“…THE OFFICE meets FRIDAY THE 13th….about a startup company which goes on a team-building trip to a secluded campground, and the company’s mascot, a knight, shows up and starts picking them off one by one…workplace, comedy, murder mystery…”
Michail started the project (with co-writer Andrew Buckley) back in 2020, which started as a comic book, turned into a screenplay for the film, and then they went back and adapted the rest of it into the graphic novel which is currently available. The story itself sounds hilarious. When it comes to the film, he said they filmed it in just 14 days and it stars a stellar cast, including improv master Colin Mochrie.
