Francine Delgado is a proud Costa Rican-Canadian artist and comic creator based in Vancouver, BC. During Calgary Expo 2023, I not only had the pleasure to moderate a “Breaking-Into-Comics” panel with her, but I also sat down with Delgadao to chat about her career—from animation to comics. Having got her start in animation, with her first animated feature being the first Addams Family movie, and she has also done character design for Mega Man, and she’s also working on a movie for Disney, which cannot be mentioned just yet. She has been in comics for just over nine years, with a lot of fantastic cover art, including TMNT and so much more, and a creator-owned series she’s working on with her creative partner and writer, Shane Roeschlein, from their four-page story, MERCI, featured in the benefit graphic novel anthology for Ukraine, LOWER YOUR SIGHTS, published by Mad Cave Studios.

There’s so much more packed into this fun interview, so please hit play below and have a listen. And, a HUGE thanks to Francine for taking the time to chat with me.
