John Delaney is a Canadian artist and his work involves an incredible breadth of comic characters from DC to the Simpson’s and Futurama (Bongo Comics) and many others in between. To learn more about him, check out the interview I did with him and and writer, C.C. Harrison, in 2019.

Today, it’s all about his comic publishing company KOMIXSTREAM, which did their “soft launch” in fall 2019 at New York City Comic Con (NYCC) and it received great reviews at that time. The official launch will be this October at NYCC. The company was in the development stages for about four years leading up to its launch. And it evolved from what was initially going to be a gaming company, however, the capital to compete just wasn’t there. What was there, though, was a great idea and the technology to make “breathing comics,” as Delaney puts it. Comics that have a depth and dimension that allows you to move through with ease. For instance, slide characters out of the way, turn speech balloons off and on to make it a truly interactive comic experience.
